Assistive Technology for Special Education

Supports for Students on an IEP

What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive Technology is any device, materials, and/or services that assist the IEP team in meeting the needs of students with disabilities in classrooms and other educational environments.

The Assistive Technology Team (AT Team) in Aurora Public Schools works with the IEP team to provide accommodations and support so students can access the learning environment and curriculum.

Please explore the tabs across the top for more information on assistive technology.

Position Statement of Assistive Technology

Assistive technology devices and materials are infused into the educational setting to provide access to every activity, lesson, or scheduled event for all students in all learning environments.
